Lakewood

Lakewood sprawls along the west shore of White Rock Lake, which is surrounded by hiking and biking trails, boathouses, wildflower areas and picnic spots. On the east shore, Dallas Arboretum has themed botanical gardens, sculpture exhibitions and frequent concerts. Classic movies and comedy shows are among the attractions at the Lakewood Theater, an iconic art deco movie palace from the 1930s. Lakewood is definitely one of Dallas’ hottest neighborhoods.

Cedar Springs

The western most tip of the Uptown district contains hidden gems, historical buildings, nightlife scene and a mini-park containing whimsical sculptures. Great stops and stays along this path include the Katy Trail Ice House, The Stoneleigh Hotel, and Anita Harris Phelps Park. This vibrant and popular neighborhood is home to many community events and celebrations including the Pride Parade, St. Patty’s Day Parade, and Halloween Block Party.

Uptown Dallas

Known for its eclectic bar and restaurant scene, including lively sports bars, posh global bistros and hip cocktail lounges. The action centers on McKinney Avenue, where a free vintage trolley trundles past boutiques selling high-end fashion and chic western wear. Attracting joggers and cyclists, the Katy Trail skirts Turtle Creek, passing parks, beer gardens and the cool Museum of Geometric and MADI Art. This area of Dallas is a wonderful location to live.

Bishop Arts

The hip Bishop Arts District is known for its diverse nightlife, chic independent fashion stores and colorful street art. Dining choices range from Texas-style BBQ to Vietnamese pho, while relaxed bars pour everything from cocktails to house-brewed cider. Cult movies are the draw at the Texas Theatre, while the art deco Kessler Theater presents live music by local and national bands.
